Amanda Ballantine and Eva-Britt Gerritse – Family Focus Mediation
Amanda Ballantine and Eva-Britt Gerritse are the co-founders of Family Focus Mediation and are both registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners with the Department of the Federal Attorney-General, pursuant to the Family Law Act 1975 (Cth).
Together, they deliver a trauma-informed, child-focused mediation service that supports families across Australia in navigating separation, parenting arrangements, and property matters with professionalism, empathy, and clarity.
Amanda Ballantine – FDRP, Mediator
Amanda holds a Bachelor of Justice and Legal Studies with a minor in Child Protection. Her personal experiences led her to discover the transformative potential of mediation, which she later pursued professionally through formal training at the College of Law, Brisbane.
With a background in both the not-for-profit and private sectors, Amanda brings a structured yet empathetic approach to family mediation. She is committed to tailoring each process to the unique emotional and practical needs of the individuals involved, ensuring that families are supported with clarity and respect throughout their journey.
Eva-Britt Gerritse – FDRP, Mediator
Eva’s professional background is rooted in community services Management, counselling, and mental health. She holds tertiary qualifications in Professional Counselling, specialising in Child Development, Effective Parenting, Community Services Management, and Mental Health.
Eva is a Nationally Accredited Mediator (AMDRAS), having completed her training through the College of Law in 2023. Her mediation style is solution-focused and trauma-informed, with a strong emphasis on helping families achieve sustainable outcomes. Eva’s calm and considered approach provides a safe and supportive environment for constructive dialogue.
