Amanda Ballantine and Eva-Britt Gerritse are both registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners with the Department of the Federal Attorney-General, pursuant to the Family Act 1975 (Cth), and the founders of Family Focus Mediation.
Amanda
While raising a family, Amanda pursued and completed her Bachelor of Justice and Legal Studies, with a minor in Child Protection. Her personal experiences introduced her to mediation, which later became her professional passion. Amanda advanced her career by becoming a qualified Mediator at the College of Law, Brisbane, receiving guidance from leading figures in the field. She spent the early part of her career as a mediator at an NGO before helping families navigate separation with support, structure, and clarity in private mediation. Amanda believes in a holistic approach to mediation, ensuring that each case is tailored to the unique emotional and practical needs of the individuals involved.
Eva
With a people-centred and solution-focused approach, Eva’s background is deeply rooted in community-based professions. She holds tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in Professional Counselling, specializing in Child Development and Effective Parenting, Community Services Management, and Mental Health. Eva is a Nationally Accredited Mediator (AMDRAS), graduating through the College of Law in 2023. Like Amanda, she has been trained, coached, and mentored by some of the most highly regarded professionals in the mediation field. Her personal aspiration is to help individuals navigate difficult situations, ensuring they find the best possible outcomes, especially when children are involved.
